The Jalopy Ride
This was for a boy's room. The Dad is a car buff and has a bright yellow sports car. This seemed like a true custom fit!
  Pirate Mural
This wrap around mural was featured in Paint Decor magazine. Click on the photo to view more.

Magnolias in Seashell
This mural is in the September 2006 Showcase of Homes. Susan also did the wall finish.
Dolphins
This wrap around mural was a girl's fantasy mural. It was featured in The New Smart Approach to Kid's Rooms by Megan Connelly.

Undersea Mural
This is a wrap around mural; that is, four walls plus the ceiling. Wrap around murals usually provide an experience. Once you are in the room, it feels as if you are truly underwater with a shark and fish overhead.

Yaddo Mural
This is an adaptation of the ‘Yaddo Girls’ of Saratoga Springs, New York with several changes made to match the adjacent bathroom border. The Yaddo gardens always invoke tranquility, which makes this mural perfect for a bedroom.

Garden Mural
This is also a wrap around mural encompassing four walls an a cathedral ceiling painted with soft and wispy clouds. It makes for a pleasant get-away while still being at home.

Lamb Ice Chest
This ice chest was built into an entire wall. The doors were treated like barn doors revealing a few sheep inside. The wainscoting was painted barn red and antiqued.

  Nursery Rhymes
This mural is for a nursery which will later be converted to a playroom.

Isabella and Her Friends
This mural was done in a home that was a New England saltbox and a folk art approach was necessary in order to flow with the family’s living style. This was actually a portrait of their eight-year-old boy’s 23-year-old riding mare and his cat. The dog was painted at his bedside where he often sleeps. The boy’s favorite stuffed animal is now a permanent part of the scene, too.

These are only a few representational murals. Each mural is custom designed for my clients, reflecting their needs, and what they expect from their mural. Some want a peaceful scene; some want to bring their garden indoors; some want a scene of their cottage out on the lake; and some, like children, want a true fantastical experience. The initial consultation takes about one hour at which time we discuss placement of the mural, your vision, ideas, and needs. Please email Susan at trtlcrk07@aol.com for an appointment
